Hello All,
During the lease sign, i had a guarantor sign the papers as well and obtained his address, and his driving license #.
Based on your experience, In case of an issue, how to go after the guarantor?
Thanks
Nassir

You would treat them the same as a tenant. Serve them with the same RTA/LTB notices, along with tenant, and take to small claims court if necessary. Through small claims court garnish wages for none payment.
Do you have the guarantors place of work.

you hire a lawyer and persue a claim. Sometimes a sharply written letter will do.

Hi Nassir
Good advice above
I don`t know where you are in the process or the specific issues but if you haven`t yet and its just an NSF cheque or something of that nature give a call to the guarantor first before getting overly aggressive and offending someone you might be dealing with for awhile. A good chunk of the time the guarantor will be fast to issue payment on defaulting tenant.
