When getting your property ready to rent or sell in Spring, here are some simple tips:

• When you're home staging in spring, you want to bring color to your front door. Seasonal flowers are great and you want to have them out in pots/planters on porches
• Make sure you Christmas lights and holiday decor are down.
• Keep weeds at bay. Over the long winter weeds have grown so get rid of dead plants and cut back. You want your property to look fresh
  Take care of driveway cracks. During the winter, cracks may have formed. You want the property to look as polished as possible.
  Don't forget to keep drapes/blinds open and keep the light on in every room when showing the property
  Staging your home for the seasons will get you results fast!

Good tips, Donna. Although I have to wonder where in Canada weeds grow over the winter... Certainly not here in Edmonton!

I have another to add, when the snow melts, one can see all the garbage and cigarette butts that were previously hidden by the snow and that makes for a terrible first impression for prospective tenants.
