Im 21 with 10K...can i get into real estate?


are there options for a newbie to get in with such low capital? Also I am not sure If i can get a bank loan since I am still a student, but I do have an offer for a full time position upon graduation in spring. Will this help?

As much as I hate the rat race, I want to do real estate on the side until I can match job income and then switch over full time.

You can do anything you set your mind too! If you have a big enough disire and a strategy to match. You mention that you`re a student right now. If I was you I would become a student of real estate investing & a student of the REIN Quick Start program.

yes absolutly...when i was 25 years old i had 2000.00 to my name and no job...My friend had no money but he had good credit and a job. So me and him went halfers on a condo for 65,000.00, I used my 2 grand and he borrowed the rest from his credit card....It is definatly possible.

Read the book "Real Estate Investing in Canada" by Don Campbell and you will have the answer and information you need to start.

yes, you can .. but you need time, money AND KNOWLEDGE !

It also depends on your other cash requirements in life !

But yes, you can find deals, IF YOU HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE, to assume mortgages with little down !

Hi,

Yes, you can start investing with $10K. You can invest starting with more or less as well. I agree, increase your knowledge first; read books and study.

If you feel you want to focus on school or work first, then do that. Learn as you go. Other options are investing in: Joint Venture Partnerships, REITs, LPs, Land banking to name a few. There are always options, but educating yourself to make the right decision is essential so you know what a good investment is versus a poor one.
