Kitchen cupboards color

Hi,
I am painting my new 3 bedroom town house in "Mushroom Basket" .
What color should I paint the kitchen cupboards?
They are in good condition, but outdated design. I am also going to change the handles.

Paint them white (or re-face them white) with brushed nickel pull knobs and handles.

Makes the kitchen look brighter and larger.

Counter tops are cheap, make sure you update them as well if the current ones are looking tattered.
