I can already guess there are questions as to why head North in Nova Scotia - its all about fog and access. One of the few areas in Nova Scotia of zero fog days due to the rapid warming of the Northumberland Strait - truly 75-77F in summer. Three international airports and Capitals at hand in three Provinces - Halifax NS, Moncton NB and Charlottetown PEI.

Five years here now and prices are still low yet the wealth of the area grows. I bought 3 acres waterfront for $60,000, a century home on 5 acres for $94,000 and a 10 acre hobby farm for $130,000. Values now are a conservative double. A couple of places for investors to Google are Pictou Island, Wallace, Malagash, Tatamagouche and Pugwash.

With Canada Games quality ski-hill and world class golf resorts, such as Fox Harb`r, the area is attracting investors particularly from the West.

My "health and wealth" indicators are soft tops and hot tubs. What are yours?

Soft top growth from 1/week to 5/day and Hot Tub installation is a two month wait.

I think he`s referring to a car with a soft-top, ie, a convertible.

Yes - that is correct, perhaps a UK term.
