Hi All,
I recently joined "Myreinspace" after studying REI for the past year through books, online videos, and etc. I am a 23 year old full-time student in Calgary, Alberta graduating this year with a major in Finance. I also work during "peak" times(2 weeks on/2 weeks off) for an oil/gas company downtown. Like many of you, I've developed an interest for real estate and I am eager to start. With that being said, I don't really know what is the best way for me to start. All I am looking for is someone to take a chance and help me out through mentoring. I just truly want to learn and get involved. As a student, it is hard for me right now to attend big seminars that are really costly for my current position due to having to pay for my education. My big "why" for REI is my mom and sister, and I want to start now so in the future I can provide for them and help out any possible way I can with others.
Aside from all the background information above, I just would love to be able to work with an experienced investor in Calgary and help in ANY way I can. Whether it is assisting them with any day-to-day activities or having the privilege to shadow them when it comes to different deals. I don't expect anything other than some guidance in this industry. I understand many of you are really busy, therefore I will take whatever it is you are willing to provide. My ultimate goal in the next year is to learn the ropes from someone, and eventually do my own deal. I would be more than happy to give a percentage to my mentor for helping me because the knowledge and expertise they will be passing on is truly priceless and I completely understand that there has to be some sort of mutual grounds for an experienced investor to spend time with me.
Anyways, like I said, I just want a chance to be able to prove myself, and learn. Please consider me as someone you would take under your wing and contact me through email if you are interested to go for coffee sometime
.
Really hope to hear back from you
.
