Looking for Mid-term Investments

Hi - In the next 3 months or so I MAY have an opportunity to invest between $30 and $50k on behalf of my dear mom. I am not looking for anything long-term and nothing too far from where I am located which is within the GTA. I would look for an investment which will return a good return over a 3 - 4 year period and of course is cash flow positive during the course of it.

Wanted to collect your thoughts. Perhaps something in the Top 10? But what? A townhouse? Maybe a Semi? Should I look for a prtner and look for something a bit bolder?

Think about putting her money into a secure mortgage. INterest beearing with security. Be careful when playing with Mom`s oney, unless, that is, she is wealthy...
