Hi there, my name is AJ and I'm new to myREINspace. After reading "Real Estate Investing in Canada" I felt inspired to get in on the real estate market while I'm still relatively young, posting on here is part of my first steps.
I own a home in Bowmanville Ontario, and although I still have some Due Diligence to do on this town, it seems like it could be HOT. There is new development everywhere, lots of proud owners and new businesses. There's also a plan to expand the GO Train to reach us (I believe the plans have been confirmed?) and there's also a strong chance that Ontario Power Generation (a huge power company) is expanding their generating station here which would mean many more jobs and employees to the area.
It could be a great investment opportunity and I'm interested in chatting/meeting with like-minded individuals from this area to discuss ideas on how we can take advantage of the situation. I'm mostly interested in buying, renting, and selling long term. I guess this is my first step toward building a team, finding individuals for joint venture / partnerships, along with references for real estate Lawyers, Realtors, Mortgage Brokers, etc.
