Hi, I'm contemplating going to the Multi-Family bootcamp in Toronto at the end of June but am wondering if Don's Investing in Multi-Family Properties Home-Study Course would be a better option for me. I am at that stage where I've done enough residential investing and now want to step it up to multi-family properties but have little experience in this area.

Is the information in the bootcamp similar to that of the home-study course?

If I was to choose one which is my better option, the weekend bootcamp or the home-study course?

Thanks in advance for any insight/info!

If paper/books were that efficient no universities would exist. Why pay a professor $120,000 / year if one could just read a book in front of a screen or in front of 300 students ??

OF COURSE you will learn far more if you attend a course where 12+ experts speak on this subject matter.

Take good notes ... and ask the tough questions !

Then review material later ... buy a 6plex or 12plex and re-attend in a year or 2 .. then you will learn the most !! Multi-dimensional: hearing, writing, reading, doing, experiencing, re-reading, re-hearing, re-doing ...

I have been doing it for 11+ years now .. and will present 2x .. but will also learn from every speaker .. even if I have seen him/her 4x already and even if only one thing in 30 minutes of his/her talk .. and that little tidbit will save me $20,000 on my next deal !!

Well alright then...sounds like I have to make a stop off in Toronto on my way home from the UK!

Learning is definitely more fun when interacting with others!

I just wasn't sure if I should be caught up to speed before attending bootcamp or if I should just jump right in!

Thanks for the advice/input and see you at the bootcamp!

Two ideas to add to agreeing with Thomas and Adam:

When you're away from the distractions of your every day life and focusing on your business, in this case, real estate, you get more ideas and the knowledge sinks in more...that's how it is for me.

Make sure you go to any networking events like drinks in the bar and eat with REIN members you don't know. You'll learn from other investors, can speak to some presenters and help others as well.

Enjoy this incredilbe boot camp!
