Are you a new REIN` member or a forum member?
If you are a REIN member you can come out to the next BC REIN` workshop and you will meet many REIN` members from all over BC including the Island.
Regarding your question about hooking up with other Island members, you can run a search under the term Victoria, or Island Members, or other specific Island city names and you will find many discussion with people on the Island, check out the people who are actively posting and you can contact them.
We have on our list for version 2.0 of this site to be able to search for members via their cities and can hook up that way... most likely this function will be available to REIN` members.
