Hi, my name is Jean-Francois Bérubé. Most people call me Jeff.

I decided to subscribe this morning.

I been lurking around the forums for a while and found a post yesterday about people`s "return on investment" by subscribing to REIN. That did it for me. Seeing all the success stories and as I am interested in buying my first property (of many to come), I decided it would be a good investment. Reading all those testimonials saying "I regret not subscribing when I first started in RE, could of avoided a lot of mistakes" definitly pushed me to do it.

So I decided for a by mail membership since I live in Grande-Prairie, AB, and won`t be able to attend any of the meetings since I already have a pretty busy schedule (Work in the oil patch and trying to start my graphics/web design company at the same time.)

I`m taking on a lot of projects at the same time but I want to have financial control of my future and it`s not working for someone else that will happen.

So, hello everyone! Pleased to meet you!

J. Berube

Welcome to REIN Jeff!

Congratulations on taking the 1st step! I`m sure you`ll be waiting for your Quickstart and other things/info to arrive by mail, now!
do take action, and don`t be afraid to ask people here-they`re all very helpful.

if at any time you can somehow manage to attend a meeting-Do try to attend it-it`ll help you stay or get more motivated and will get you a great network of people you meet online here!

All the best!

Thanks! I`ll try to do my best. I wish they would have meetings here in Grande-Prairie. I`m a pretty self motivated individual tho, so I`m not worried about the motivation part. The network of contacts is the part I wish I could go to the meetings for.

Yes, welcome Jeff.

I to was a mail-only member until 3 months ago. It was the best move I made. Try the mail-only first and then attend a quick start to step it up.!

Good luck!

Good to see you getting involved online! REIN is a great group, and I`m currently living in Kelowna, making it hard to attend meetings. The CD`s and other materials are great, and attending the occasional Quickstart will be a good connection.

Hope to meet you in person eventually.

Cheers,

Chris

How long does a quick start last? Is it just a one day thing?

Welcome to REIN Jeff!

There is nothing that compares to a weekend at Quickstart. It starts with a REIN members meeting on Friday night, then continues all day Saturday and Sunday. It is profoundly inspiring & totally exhausting. I have been a REIN member since 2005 and have gone to the Toronto Quickstart every year. The information is phenomenal and the chance to meet and connect with other investors from all over is amazing.

The CDs are wonderful, but if you are serious about investing in real estate, attending Quickstart will solidify your knowledge and provide you with an essential network of fellow investors who will help you quickly put together your team and navigate the bumps that come with this business.

All the Best!

Carla

Hey, Jeff, welcome.

I looked at the REIN website for almost 3 months in 2006, and one day saw there was a meeting in Toronto. For some reason I just had to go. SO, I joined the day before and went to the meeting. At the meeting I saw, heard and met people that were taking action.
That`s what I needed. Its prompted me to take action. As I learned the information, I slowly started to take action as well. Its been a great experience so far. I love to network with the members and always look forward to the unbiased information that REIN presents.
I suggest you go the Quickstart. Yes, sometimes it tough to get away but it is well worth it.
