I just finished the 97 tips and am anxiously awaiting the arrival of the "real estate investing in canada". I`d like to meet with a mortgage broker, does anyone have any information about Nanaimo? I`ll also be looking for an accountant, lawyer and property management company. Thanks for being there, elaine

Good to hear from you. I do recommend that you do not choose your `support team` based on their geographic location... base it on their level of expertise.
With that being said, there are some amazing accountants, mortgage brokers etc on this site. If you post your question you`ll definitely get some great responses. Also, check out the co-authors of the 97 Tips book you just read. One is a quality mortgage broker and another is a legal expert. Might be a good place for you to start.
When you get Real Estate Investing in Canada, I recommend that you start working through the steps it provides. This will help clarify your vison and who you`ll need to support (it will also help you answer your own questions about Nanaimo)
