Off topic: My Nov 2009 Interview with The Globe and Mail

QUOTE (Rickson9 @ Dec 5 2009, 01:33 AM)
Although my wife and I invest in both RE and stocks, the following was my November 2009 interview on stocks with the Globe and Mail.

Best regards,

Jim

Congratulations with the write-up and your tendency towards value investing. I have been investing along the same lines for the past 30? years. I also like to diverify my investments by buying real estate.

In fact, I did do project corp earnings forward and calculate the npv, etc. This turned out to be somewhat tedious and cumbersome. But then I came accross the Canadian Share Owners organization. The have a extensive stock database and software to let you analyze a company's fundamentals in seconds and the ensure the data base is consistent. If you haven't heard or used them, I highly recommend you to look into it. http://www.shareowner.com/cpa/index.html

regards,

Nice Jim

How did you get the interview?

In the past I was interviewed by MoneySense magazine after I called them to ask them if what I was doing would be interesting to them; I was 27 at the time. Since then my name and web site was picked up by a few media outlets including the Globe and Mail. The Nov. 2009 interview was a followup to an interview I did with the Globe over 3 years ago.

Hi gwasser thanks for the info. I know about shareowner.com but don`t want to pay for my information. I prefer to use the plethora of free information sources that I`ve dug up over the years.
