Private sales in Canada

Does anyone have a quick stat for the number of private home sales in Canada for 2009 or 10?

At times private sales comes undetected. Unless they are persisted and gathered from sites like welist, kijiji, comfree, craigslist, etc... there is no real way to know!?

I'd venture to guess well below 10% .. maybe around 3 to 5%



Lower % in a slow market .. a bit higher in a hot market !

I thought I had seen stats - somewhere at some time - that it was around 20%

A guess and only a guess that a good portion of this might be from divorce's, death, land assembly, etc.. and not from fsbo ad's
