I overheard a conversation in an elevator today that I thought was an amusing annecdote about how math skills are an important factor in financial success.
Man: "I bought $6 worth of lottery tickets, and I won back $4"
Woman: "Not bad"
Man: "Yeah, that`s a return of -25% so it could be worse."
