I just closed on a property in Red Deer at the end of september. I chose to work with Simco Realty as the property manager. so far i am happy. they were able to rent the basement and garage for me just in time for closing. (I inherited the top floor tenants) there were a couple minor hiccups in the beginning in regards to getting the advertising going. A couple of girls in the office are quite helpful. The main manager, Darryl, seems to be a good guy but doesn`t like alot of communication from the owners (which can be challenging for us investors as we are told to "manage the managers". ) they charge 7.5% month. I interviewed/phoned several other PM companies in Red Deer and alot of them wouldn`t deal with me b/c I was trying to rent out a whole house and garage.
