QUOTE (GaryMcGowan @ May 8 2009, 05:49 PM) Chris,
Nice work, I liked that it was only 8 min long. I think that it could be a very useful tool for yourself and others. The format worked for me. You could expand every now then maybe do a round table of the hot topic of the week. iTunes / podcasting as you know can be a very powerful tool.
I post as often as I can the weekly sermons of a local church to iTunes. It is a great way to stay connected.
What program did you use to capture the recording? I setup
Audacity for the church on a spare pc they had, flawless. It is a free app and really easy to use. From there I plug it into Adobe Audition for final editing. Mac and garage band would be my choice though. Macs always come with everything you need.
Thanks Gary,
My dad has a pretty decent
Samson C03U USB Microphone that worked like a charm. I ran the audio straight into Audacity and essentially didn`t do any editing, except to adjust the levels and trim the ends. I`ll do more editing in the future, but as a rule if I listen to myself too much I`ll never post it
.
I`ve been a pretty serious musician most of my life, and done a decent bit of recording. We have Garage Band upstairs, but I also have copies of CakeWalk, Sony Acid Pro and a couple other programs. Audacity does a great job though. I tend to only use AcidPro when I`m playing with drum loops. I am looking forwards to buying a new mac though! Garage band is pretty slick, even compared to some of the big protools rigs I`ve played with.
