Tenants Second Hand Smoke Complaint

Hello All



I am just curious if anyone else here has dealt with a complaint from a tenant about second hand smoke entering their rental unit? I am experiencing this issue and am running out of ideas on how to remedy it. Thus far I have already completed the following:



1) purchased an air purifier for the unit

2) attempted to seal/caulk areas smoke is coming in

3) contacted the strata regarding this issue



I have had no luck with any of these fixes. Does anyone else have any suggestions on how I can attempt to address this for my tenant?

There should be something in the bylaws about "quiet / peaceful enjoyment" of units or similar. Don't let lazy board members shirk their responsibilities. And get on the board and push for no smoking on grounds. And lastly, if the unit below is not owner occupied try contacting the owner to see if they know their tenants are smoking like a fresh diesel truck.
