The Brand-New myREInspace.com Is Finally Here!

Hello everyone! After over a year of hard work and design from our development team, the new and much-improved myREINspace.com Forums are ready to launch! The date is set and on Tuesday, December 21st, 2011 at 8AM, the new forum will launch live to the world. myREINspace is already Canada`s Premier Real Estate Community and Discussion forum, and with all the upgrades and enhancements, it promises to give you, the user, a richer and more interactive experience.
Through many stages of testing and progression, all the kinks have been worked out and we are eager to give you access to the forum with a new look and feel. Ease of use and navigation are one of the hurdles of the current forum, and we hope the newest version allows you to use every tool seamlessly to your benefit.

Some of the new features you can expect to see:

- Powerful Search engine (intelligent search functions just like Google)
- Simple, straightforward navigation bar at the top of every page of the forum
- Updated downloads section with clear organization of files and multiple options to sort files
- Built-in media player allows for instant streaming of audio and video
- Updated events calendar allows you to export events directly to your personal Outlook Calendar

And much, much more!

With all of this in mind, there is a transition period that the forum will undergo in order to update to the newest edition and have all accounts transferred to the new servers. The forum will experience downtime as follows:

- myREINspace.com will go down at 8AM on Saturday, December 18th, 2011
- myREINspace.com will be back up and launching at 8AM on Tuesday, December 21st, 2011
- During the transition period, all new posting and new registrations will be disabled
- IMPORTANT: Users can still enjoy and read all 97,000+ posts at www.myREINspace.cahttp://http://www.myreinspace.ca/ throughout the entire transition period

Will the old threads, posts, user profiles, etc move from the old system to the new one on a permanent basis, or just be temporarily available during the transition?

Good question Michael!

All of the content and user profiles will be moved to the new forum permanently. During the transition, the current forum will be read-only (no posting or new registrations). All currently registered users will receive an e-mail instructing them to visit the new forum once it launches, and sign in and reset their passwords (passwords are encrypted so they are the only information that cannot be transferred).
