Whats the Good Place to invest in edmonton?

I am new and learning about real estates.Need advice on the following.Thank you.
How does the market for real estate in edmonton look like?
And what kind of properties is convenient to invest?Would prices for homes will be going down and what would happen to interest rates?

Hi Ron,

There`s a lot of information here if take the time to read it, and several good blogs written by REIN members. This is a good buying time in Edmonton, as we`re bouncing along the bottom of the W, with stronger, if slower, growth coming the next few years. Interest rates have nowhere to go but up, however they`ll take a while to do so, and a slower economy makes it even less likely they`ll increase substantially overnight.

I`m a fan of townhomes in the north-east and Millwoods, single family homes and condos in the west end, and there are some nice duplexes in the south I`ve run across.

yes, Edmonton is a great place to invest .. but some in-depth research into areas or property types that you are comfortable with is a MUST !!





convenient: a JV or a rental pooled condo from a reputable firm



home prices may go down but will likely not



interest rates will stay low for a long long time due to age demographics and a surplus of cash by baby boomers and corporations !
