Where I Advertise in Edmonton

Brent had the fine people at our office run a little experiment in our office this spring to see which websites are throwing good traffic.

I`ve posted the results of our experiment on my blog. You can see the first post, Advertising for Edmonton Rentals, or you can skip to the final results. I also have a running list of sites where you can post your rentals on that I`m hoping to keep updated as time goes on.

I wish we could do a larger scale experiment, but I just don`t have the time right now.

Hi Chris,
Interesting experiment and results. I was surprised not to see kijiji because it seems to be very popular.
I use kijiji and Rentboard. I`ve also used rentfaster/rentedmonton in the past.
kijiji is by far and away the best website for lead generation, at least in Edmonton. I suspect different cities will give slightly different results. My JV partner in Calgary swears by rentfaster down there. I find it`s very ineffective up here.

Hi Jason,

We didn`t use kijiji in the experiment, and I`m not sure why it wasn`t included. Perhaps because back in March it wasn`t as popular yet. Either way, it`s some interesting hard data, which is difficult to come by in this business.
