Where should you build your team?

Hi, I just bought Don`s book on Saturday, and finished it by Thursday. I have been reading through the forums, and am excited to get started. I live in Victoria, but am looking at North Surrey as my target area. I am looking to build my team, but am wondering if I should use local people to Victoria, or Surrey - or I guess a bit of both.
I am assuming the realtor should be from the target area, and I have read that Brent Roberts is recommended. Does anybody have any other recommendations for mortgage brokers out of Victoria? or are there any groups that meet in Victoria? I am going to sign up Monday to become a REIN member as I will need that extra push. If anybody has advice on buying and managing properties that you are a ferry ride away from that would be great! (I am thinking a property management company will be a must since I can`t just drive over to the property if there is a problem). So also anyone recommended a property management company in Surrey? Congratulations on your decision to take action and jumping with both feet. You will find all the answers here and will meet many , many amazing people at REIN meetings.
There are many professionals that offer excellent service and have been "tested" by other REIN members and recommended. Use the search option and you will find them.

reasonably close to you, but could be anywhere: lawyer, mentors, mortgage broker, bookkeeper, website administrator, money partners
