Wondering REIN is for me

Have thought about real estate for some time now.
I live near Medicine Hat, Alberta and would be interested in talking to REIN members over coffee? Or here? Just soliciting opinions, advice, information that may influence my descision to either pursue or ignore my interest in real estate.
I do believe that the energy sector glory days in Alberta are done, gone, forever as a focus on renewable sources and reducing fossil fuel dependency seems to be growing.

REIN makes sense if you envision buying multiple pieces of RE the next few years as it teaches its core principles very well and you will meet a like-minded group of people once a month in Calgary ( or Edmonton ).

Consider going to the next ACRE meeting in Edmonton later this month Sept 27-29.
