Uxbridge lays down law in new policy

UXBRIDGE -- Uxbridge has a new policy to help lay down the law.

Township staff say special treatment expected by some individuals to rectify bylaw complaints sparked a policy to apply enforcement evenly to all residents` concerns. The Township`s administration committee passed a proposal from Clerk Debbie Leroux, who is also in charge of the bylaw department.

Go west, councillors say

WHITBY -- The town`s proposed road link from Hwy. 401 to the planned Hwy. 407 extension continues to face heated opposition from Whitby residents a year after it first came to light. About 250 people packed into council chambers last January to debate the issue surrounding a realignment of Coronation Road.
