Great point. We use different sites depending on which city our vacancy is in. I have found that for Edmonton and area specifically, Rentboard.ca has garnered the best results for us. We also like to use kijiji as it`s free, although I agree that you do get alot of bogus inquiries from that site.

I too would recommend Mark Andersen with Remax if you`re looking out in Chilliwack. We recently purchased a rental property with him and he did a fantastic job for us. He really has an intimate knowledge of the local market and understands the "investor" mentality.

We have also had problems with smokers inside our units. Other than the obvious "yellowing" of any white walls and ceilings within the place, we have had to deal with major lino and carpet burn marks, which are very expensive fixes that the damage deposit doesn`t always adequately cover.
