I believe divorce would only be likely to change the ownership of the shares of a company, and then the ownership would make any changes to the company itself. If mortgages were personally guaranteed, the bank doesn`t care if you`re divorced.

maybe .. maybe not ..
shares of a company are assets .. and part of a divorce is a mutually agreed decision or court order how to split assets !
