Anyone familiar with montana?

My wife and I want to kick the tires on a vacation property within driving distance from Calgary. We have friends that bought in Koocanusa and my wife works with people that own in whitefish.

I want something with year-round drive in access, a nice view, boat slip and good day-trip fly fishing.

I find the US MLS to be very frustrating. Anyone know anything about this market?

I can`t but If you`ve yet to try a search. I might be mistaken but I think there was a discussion about a year ago on Montana vacation properties and a member that had some expertise on it.
