B.C. rating climbs higher in mining industry survey

British Columbia has edged into the world`s top 20 jurisdictions supporting mineral mining and exploration investment, the Fraser Institute reported in a new survey on Thursday.

The institute`s annual international survey of senior mining company officials shows Quebec as having the world`s most supportive policy environment for mining and mine development, including taxation, certainty about aboriginal interests, supportive regulatory environment and government support.
