BC Condo Rental restrictions for original owners

Hi, I am here in BC, and we own a condo that we were living in, but now need to rent out vs selling in todays market, but we are being denied by Strata and property management.

Basically, there was a technical clause that property management and the Strata board are using against us to prevent from renting, despite us being sold the unit as original owners with a contract stating we can rent. The clause is - because our signed copy of the contract is missing a defined date, our original owner "grandfathered" ability is void. I find that this has got to be wrong, and someone else has had to face this hurdle.

My original post is under:

If anyone could please advise us of our options, or perhaps someone who can legally help us, or even our options such as finding a roommate vs a full condo rental.

We do not want to be subject to fines or other strata type threats.

Thanks
