BC resident needs insurance for Alberta rental property

I live in BC but my rental property is in Alberta.

I have been using RBC for the past 2.5 years but not entirely satified. Anyone have suggestions on who to use given my situation (not all insurers can insure outside of their province of operation - ie my vehiclke is insured through BCAA but they said they can`t insure my AB rental property).

One more advantage of being a rein member, Park Insurance Rein Program.


However, if you are not a member, and use a property manager, ask your PM to cover the insurance.

We have covered the property insurance for a number of owners over the years. Out of province and out of country owners have the most difficulties obtaining insurance. It cost our owners more money (commerical insurance vs private residential rates) but the property was insured.
