Well utilities seem to be the vain of my existence lately as I have an ex-tenant in Cochrane that hadn`t paid his bills and now the town is coming after me.... awesome!

But on a much happier note there is a new power company in the province of Alberta that is offering to give back 20% of its profits to support green initiatives! And get this ...its also cheaper then the big guys! Another bonus....they actually make it easy for me to pay my bills by setting up automatic payment plans. I know you can do this with some other companies too but good luck finding the forms....why not just take a CC over the phone? I don`t know! So in my opinion this one is a no brainier!

Check out www.bowvalleypower.net to help make the world a greener place and save a few dollars!!

Thanks for sharing your experience with this company. Keep us in the loop as it progresses.

Thanks for the the tip on the new company. I am just about to buy a new property and wouldn`t have known about these gusy. It also looks like it may be a way for me to lower the costs on my other suites.

The initial cost is up to $1500 and there are admin fees of $40 per month. This really becomes a lease for the panels.

I am looking at putting panels on my home and our furnished rental (we pay utilities).
