Bronte (Oakville), Ontario

As a very uneducated wannabe RE investor, I had a general question I wanted to pose to the community. For those familiar with Bronte, the massive new condominium development, The Shores, is to be completed in October. As this is the first project of it's kind in the area, with prices varying drastically from 400-2.7M, what can be expected to happen with respect to the surrounding townhouses/condos/single family homes around Bronte? Would this be a good location to purchase a principle residence or investment property, knowing full well I'm daringly speculating that the new developments will stimulate this location...? Has anybody put any thought into this location?
