Economy - the value of building permits rose in June, marking back-to-back months of yearly gains, the city of calgary said Friday.
applications--a barometer of construction intentions --totalled $398 million, a 6.5 per cent increase from June 2008.
For the year, values are down nearly 30 per cent from 2008 levels to $1.7 billion and remain well below the five-year average.
