Estate Home Development SW Calgary?

I`m just wondering if any one has heard about any new estate home or acreage developments in the works? I am looking for something in the deep SW (37th Street and 22x) that would be a high end development like Elbow Valley or Heritage Pointe.

There is a new development that is slated for SW of Calgary called Spruce Ridge Estates.

Spruce Ridge Estates is a country living, residential, and destination development project within the MD of Foothills. This 923 acre parcel of prime land is located just 4 miles west of the City of Calgary along Highway 22 (near Spruce Meadows)

Why would you want a new development? There is LOTS available on the resale market. The seven-figure + market has corrected itself quite sharply... I am working for a client that wants a 2000ft 3-car bunaglow in the SW and we have seen several six-fig reductions in the past few months.

Great question. We currently have a 2800 sq ft five bedroom house in Woodbine. Five bedroom houses are hard to come by and we`ve got four kids so it works out well for our family. We are looking to build a house in the next 4 years to accomodate our lifestyle a little bit better (ie. larger principal rooms, more space for the kids as they grow, acreage type lot, etc.). If there was going to be another "Elbow Valley" in the deep southwest, I would want to get in at phase one. Location is key for us. My husband works both downtown and at Anderson/Macleod and he golfs at Priddis. Our kids go to school near Okotoks. Any other insights you have are most appreciated!
