Heating Insurance Maintenance Plan

Hello REIN Members!

Does anyone here use any Heating Insurance Maintenance Plans for their furnaces? What this normally covers is an annual inspection and cleaning, any repairs and maintenance required (there are exceptions of course).

I`ve called Union Gas which is my gas supplier for my properties and they don`t offer this service. I`ve called Reliance Home Comfort and they don`t offer this coverage for equipment servicing more than one dwelling unit, which means they won`t cover duplexes and above.

They`ve always seemed poor value to me - self insure if you can afford the lose - after all they`re making money offering the plan and not really adding anything - Just higher a smaller company to do yearly servicing

These properties are located in Ontario, Simcoe area.

Direct Energy offers this service in the GTA, not sure if they cover the Simcoe area though. They have some other plans which may offer better value.
