Help: Choosing correct POS Pin Pad Terminal for restaurant

Hi, I am looking for a suitable POS Pin Pad Terminal for billing session of the restaurant. Most of our customers are now preferring card payment instead of direct cash payment. I got some advice that we need to consider the distance or range of the device before purchasing. As I don't have any previous experience with these devices I welcome comments from any business owners especially from restaurant service. Please give me some suggestion, that will be a great help for us.
