Hi All,

Is there a way for a foreign non-Canadian investor to qualify for a mortgage in Canada?

Can such a foreigner with stable income act as a guarantor on a mortgage? would any of the banks accept that?

Please assume simple residential units investments (single family or duplexes).

Thanks & Regards,
Neil

non residents can qualify quite easily with most lenders though at minimum they will need 25% down. They`ll probably like the rate and terms better with 35% down though. They will need to qualify conventionally based on income and debt like any other applicant.

THANK YOU PETER!

You and Rob Macdonald have huge amount of knowledge in the field.
