The city of Toronto is considering almost doubling the fees it charges developers for construction projects, a proposal that already has the building industry warning it will only result in higher costs for home buyers.
The recommendation is contained in a report to be released Tuesday as part of the agenda for Mayor Rob Ford`s executive committee meeting next week, although the proposed bylaw changes were posted ahead of time on the city website.
