Hello all,
I am looking for a REI mentor that is (or was) based out of Canada, and has done deals in the US at both the early stages of their REI career and beyond. I am currently a new buy and hold investor from Canada that lives in the US (own 1 property in Alberta for past 2.5 years).
As I grow my knowledge about investing in the US I feel that aligning with someone who has been through it could be very useful. Among other things some of the topics that I am hoping to chat about are:
- Financing foreign investments - best lenders who work with Canadians getting in to the US.
- Lessons learned - big CAN vs US differences from a legal an/or accounting point of view.
- Important things to keep in mind along the way, as learned through experience.
I really think gaining a mentor who shares a similar passion for REI would be a great so if you have been looking for a mentee and don't mind sharing, feel free to reach out.
