Looking to Move

A friend of mine recently asked me where was the best place to live in and around Calgary. I really did not know considering I do not live there, so I thought I would ask the people in the know on here and see which neighborhoods or communities where best to locate to.

Where would your friend be working? And what is his budget? Buying or renting? Transit or his own vehicle? There are some great areas in Calgary, but without more information it`s hard to narrow down an area.

Well in further discussion today, he has decided to reside in Okotoks as his job is very flexible. But I have been considering changing jobs of recent also and have been looking into being employed with TransAlta in Calgary. I would be driving, well unless I can locate in an area that has transit.

I use to live in the north end of Winnipeg and would prefer not locating around areas where gun play is considered normal.
