I bought a suited house a year ago. There is a few semi-minor things that I could fix now or possibly in the future, depending on severity and cost.
1) Garage needs new roofing (im guessing $1000 to repair), has some little holes that can probably be temporarily filled with silicone or tar. used for rental for storage. Shingles are coming up. no insulation to worry about.
2) No bathroom fans. I think the basement suite is more important but there is outside mold that needs to be wiped down from showers now and then. Fans I think would be about $800 for both to be installed.
3) Electrical. I was told not to worry to much about this as no one has had any problems but I believe there is no ground. Just 2 hole prongs outlets.
What does everyone think? Are they important? especially the fans?
And does anyone know anyone who can give me a quote in Calgary?
