Need Rental in Calgary

My daughter has just moved to Calgary to take a teaching job. She is a responsible mid thirties single female and would like to rent a one BR place in either the kensington or Mission region (17 ave s.w.)

Occupancy - Jan 15th or Feb 1st at latest. Space for one car (with block heater) would be a plus.
Anyone know of a place or where she might look for listings?

Hi Bill,

I am a new member of REIN who owns a couple of properties close to the areas you speak about. One is available actually in the Lower Mount Royal area which is a few blocks away from Mission, and only a block away from 17th Ave. SW.

It`s listed on rentfaster.ca (where you can find other listings for Calgary). The listing number is Listing ID: 28984 on rentfaster.ca. This suite is probably much much more than she needs but if she needs something temporarily till she finds a more suitable place - I would be willing to give it to her at a reduced rate until we find a more suitable client. I`m doing this because I don`t have a tenant at the moment (actively marketing it now that it is complete in furnishings etc.) and I would like someone to live in it who can tell me how it is, kind of like a test drive.

My suites are targeted to upscale executives who are relocating to the city and not expecting to buy here (or are doing so down the road). We are just in the process of putting finishing touches on it and I am trying different advertising angles with it.

Thanks RJ, - she`s a new school teacher so doesn`t have much to spend on a place. She was looking for a one bedroom. Your place looks gorgeous and might suit her for a short period (until her furniture is sent from Vancouver in the Spring). The big question is...how much of a reduced rent.

We have a remodeled 2 bedroom place in lower mount royal (19th ave and 8th st sw). Will be available feb 1 for 1450. Inc heat and water. 2nd floor unit with a covered parking stall.
