Hi Everyone,

My name is Mike, I live in Calgary and I am new to the REIN forum but not new to REIN and the teachings of Don Campbell.

I have heard (and read) so many good things about being a member of REIN and I want to be a member too, as soon as possible.

Due to some circumstances beyond my immediate control I cannot afford to pay the current monthly dues as a FULL member but will really love to become an ASSOCIATE member (this I can afford for now).

Please contact me if you can help out.

Regards,

Mike

Hi Thomas,

Thanks for responding to my post.

It is time to `start doing` and learning about real estate investment, with seasoned REIN investors, is the obvious next stage in my investment/career goals and thus, my desire to join REIN (not planning to get rich quick, but systematically).

Regards,

Mike

Unless the issues beyond your immediate control involve you being incarcerated challenge yourself to adjust your life style to enable you to afford a membership.
It will be a good test of the control you will need in your life to succeed in this business.

This business requires sacrifices in many areas, finding the cash to move forward and continue moving forward takes a major commitment.
Start testing yourself today rather than finding reasons not to.

This post was not set up to offend anyone, but maybe I never made myself clear enough, I am not asking anyone to pay the dues for me, I want to be an ASSOCIATE member not a freebie member
. This is not a matter of lifestyle change(s). This is Canada and people need to open their eyes to what is happening around them and not think that anyone that says they don`t have enough money, is not learning how to save, spend at discount stores or just go around spending money for spending-sake. No offence but, we cannot afford to be self-righteous, sometimes it takes alot for people to come out to say what`s bothering them, if we can encourage them, then we should.

I agree that you need to make sacrifices to succeed, I know because I am a professional, and God knows I have paid -and will continue to pay- my dues. I don`t mean to offend anyone but most people will agree that sometimes, some people just can`t make ends meet. Family commitments more often than not, will not enable people squeeze out more than they can.

You might have met alot of people making excuses but, no one is making any excuse here.
You can agree or not, but...

I don`t give up easily but because this might be embarrassing, I think I should withdraw this post.

Why not make more money? If your a professional you should have some options.
Like working more hours. Or taking on a second job. Or doing consulting work.
Or starting your own firm.
Or advancing your skill set to receive a higher wage rate.
?
There`s some hard to reconcile about "real estate investor" and "Can`t afford $100 more this month"

Why are people a pay-check away from bankruptcy?

Why are more people close to being homeless as the days pass by during this recession?

Why are people willing to sell their houses and take out little or no equity?

Why are people losing their jobs every day, even though they are “PROFESSIONALS”
?

How many people are financially stable during these times of economic turmoil(s)?

How many baby-boomers can successfully retire today and leave off their savings/investments? If so, why are they still working until they drop dead?

I am actually enjoying this because it gives me a very good insight into how much people can care for others. It definitely begs the question as to ‘why people are willing to give to charities and not help out a ‘good neighbour’ that is facing financial difficulties. The “FEEL GOOD” mentality or is it “MY DAD IS BETTER THAN YOUR DAD” attitude?

Common people, please stop asking “WHY” and pointing fingers. Remember that all fingers are definitely not equal.

I was not intending to put you on the spot. I was merely pointing out that this business requires a lot of money and felt the sooner you started moving in a positive financial direction the better.

It dosn`t matter to me why you are here or why you are or are not joining. It is your business and since you seem somewhat sensitive about the subject I will not pursue it.

This is strictly business to me.

Good luck.

Hi simplymickey I`ve tried to be gracious to you in my last post and will continue to be. To recap what has happened in this thread:
You`ve come onto a message board and asked to unethically receive a discount on a companies services by deceptively using their associate program that isn`t applicable to you.

The message board you`ve come on asking was created, paid for, and costs the company you`re trying to rip off <REIN> money on an ongoing basis to hire staff to administer and provide content for it.

This company carries it self so well that it hasn`t deleted your posts or banned you and allowed you to continue to benefit from there forum.

You`ve then had paying customers of that company provide you free help to help you improve yourself.

You`ve then responded to this free help with rambling insults implying the people who`ve offered you free assistance are acting unethically and bragging.

Perhaps you could re-read my last post and re comment?

I`ve been a bit lost for this entire thread. What is an associate member? Is that the one when a husband/wife/business partner gets to sign up for cheaper than regular, as they have a direct link to REIN already?

If that`s the case, you`re going to have to propose to me a lot better than that if we`re going to get married.....
And if you meant as a business partner, then as soon as you give me some big cheques for us to buy some property together, then we can do it.

Anything else isn`t what the system was designed for, so I personally wouldn`t want to try to take advantage of REIN.

However, what might suit your purposes better...REIN used to have (and I assume still has) the option to be a member by mail. For something like $100, you get the cds of each regular meeting and all the handouts - you just don`t get to go to the actual meetings. But something like that might fit what you want better than trying to circumnavigate the system.

Have a good day!

Hi Mike,

First off...Welcome (even though it might not feel that way just yet)!

Second, my apologies for not jumping in sooner, down with the flu or something similar, but here is some info that might help.

Associate membership is set up so Primary members can bring their business partners on board and/or family members. Each primary member can have up to two associates and we ask for proof of partnership in order to set this up. While this option might not work for your particular situation there is an alternative - "by mail" membership. By Mail membership is half price, $99/month, same as associate membership, but it is set to go up in cost over the next few months. Anyone can sign up for by mail membership, it has most of the same benefits as regular membership except by mail members don`t attend meetings - everything is sent to your home.

Many members love the by mail option while many others find much more value in primary membership. There is a massive networking component to attending the meetings and this component will be heavily strengthened moving forward this year, but the forum does allow a great networking component as well. Plus, with by mail membership you still qualify for member only programs such as insurance, tenant screening programs, health care and more.

I won`t list the numerous benefits here and hijack the thread, but if you`d like more information please feel free to email me directly - [email protected] or call 1-888-824-7346.

Sorry things got off a little rocky, let me know how we can help.

Yes you were supposed to respond to my post. You`ve misread my last post.
I`ll highlight sections of concern in your last post in my next post.

Your entire post below is offensive.
This specific section:

The "FEEL GOOD" mentality or is it "MY DAD IS BETTER THAN YOUR DAD" attitude?

Is implying the people that have offered you help have been arrogant in their responses to you.

Hi Guys,

TO EVERYONE: Let me start out by thanking everybody for taking the time out to make their posts and suggestions. I apologize if anyone was offended by some parts of my postings, or thought I was trying to take advantage of REIN. That was obviously not my intention and I do not believe it is the intention of anybody that comes to this forum, but I am speaking for myself alone. Again, I am sorry if anyone misunderstood what my intentions were because of my own miscommunications. Please do not take my previous postings personal. Trust me; all your suggestions will be taken as the occasions present themselves.

TO RAY: Sorry about the flu. As you said, somewhere along the way, I missed out the part about the ‘by mail’ membership. It is definitely a better option and I will contact you/REIN as soon as possible.

TO JOHNS: Thanks for the posting, you made me crack up with laughter after reading your post, you are a funny guy indeed…and thanks, I will not ‘propose marriage’ to you…last time I checked, I was attached. Again, no offence to anyone, your post was the first that directly addressed the concern I had and I deeply appreciate the suggestions you made and those of others.

Again, thanks everyone!
