One that just happened recently to some friends/clients and feel compelled to share:



Absolutely do NOT sign a declaration that you are going to live in the property just to "save on the interest rate" when your intention is to use an investment property. If the mortgage broker says this is ok - use another mortgage broker immediately. This is fraud.
