GO Train continues to be a hit in Barrie!
M.P. Patrick Brown is happy to announce the expansion of the Barrie South GO train station’s parking lot.
Over 200 additional parking spaces have been created at the Barrie South GO station. This station will now accommodate almost 700 vehicles as opposed to the 500 lots previously available to Barrie residents.

In the last federal election, M.P Brown promised he would secure 8.3 million dollars towards the South Barrie GO train station. In 2006 he honoured his promise and presented a cheque to former Barrie Mayor Rob Hamilton. Currently, M.P Brown is advocating for a second station which would be located at the historical Allandale location.

The Barrie South GO train has so far been one of GO’s most successful new services, with ridership climbing to more than double the expected levels.

‘This is great news for Barrie GO train users as they now do not have to worry about finding a place to park which we all know can prove to be stressful during those mad morning dashes to work,’ said M.P. Patrick Brown.

Hi Shannon,

Thanks for the Post. Back 6 years ago when we picked Barrie as one of the Top places to invest in Ontario (based on future economic fundamentals - including the addition of the GO Train), many people laughed. They thought it was cottage country - One of the key comments was "How could a cottage country town out perform a `real city` like Oshawa or Oakville.

Well as we have seen the detail that we put into the Top Town Research is second to none. Many Members who invested using that research as a base have created amazing returns in their portfolios, while others, who followed their `gut` have languished.

We have just begun to see the impact of the Go Train - there is a lot more to come for Barrie.

You may wish to look at the upcoming Top Ontario Town Field Trip and The REIN All-Day Conference (September 26th & 27th) as an opportunity to meet and network with 400+ investors. Check out the Calendar for more details.

Keep the posts coming!

Hi Don,
Thanks for the response and reminder of your Field Trip. My husband (he is a REIN member) and I were just discussing how insightful and `bang on` your predictions and forecasting have been. It`s funny to see the `naysayers` didn`t benefit and how fortunate those that kept an open mind, inquired and invested and have seen a positive return on their investments so far. There`s definite growth here in Barrie and Orillia and excited to be part of it and see the transformations.

On that note, I look forward to meeting you as yes, I had been asked to be part of your "bus tour guide" from the Realtor perspective in Barrie. We`re just finalizing details and if the members haven`t signed up already....I STRONGLY encourage you to do so now without further delay because it`s going to be a real eye-opener and great opportunity and spots are filling up (if it`s not already full already).

Much success to everyone and happy to keep you updated on events here in Barrie and area.
