Hi All,
I am looking for stats for Ontario to incorporate into my presentation for potential Inverstors example average price of house in Ontario -Toronto, barrie etc from 2000-2008, comparitive graphs of Industries. I am able to find on various sites but i can not work with them (if i want to use the graph itself).
Pleaes suggest me something so that i could create a true comparitive report for my potential JV for Ontario

1. For residential sales numbers and average prices contact your local real estate board and ask to speak with someone in statistics. They should have a package or a spreadsheet or something to send you. If this fails get your real estate agent to do it for you.
2. I know Calgary has a lots of studies done on stuff like employment, net migration average salaries, vacancy rate etc. Contact your municipality and see what you can find. Be courteous and descriptive of what you are looking for. If they don`t have it ask them if they know what department does and if they can connect you or provide you a name and a phone number.
3. Check your REIN materials for relevant news articles and stats stuff for your area - I would be very surprised if there aren`t a lot of good things in there for a JV preso.

I have found graphs that have data but not hard numbers that I could use... and guess what... I had to estimate the numbers and plug it all into my own spreadsheets to get what I was looking for and play with the data... Just keep the graph handy in case anyone asks how you put that item together. So if you really know what you want to show you may have to resort to similar measures. If finding money partners was easy everyone would be doing it!

Good luck!
