Just wondering if anyone is currently invested in Prince George and if so, could i get the names of some good contacts up there. ie realtor, property management etc...

Also would love to hear any takes on what eveyone thinks about the pros and cons of the rental state that Prince George might be in. Lots of Students I imagine.

Any knowledge on this city would be great.

thanks,

ML

I just spent the weekend up there for a family reunion and talked to cousins etc and they all say that it's a decent rental market as the university is growing and the fact that a lot of people up there would rather put a down payment on an $80,000 jacked up truck rather than property. But obviously being investors and not speculators we would have to look at the fundamentals of the region and just from what I heard from family members who have lived up there all their lives they say that it should be a steady growth of jobs due to it becoming more of a center for northern BC. There is also a few mines going in north of Prince George and they are increasing their airport and rail yard to become more of a transportation hub.

I haven't done any legitimate research on the area and am not sure if REIN has any reports on the area but this is just what I was told while I was up there.

Hello MikePlee,

REIN actually has a report on the Top BC Investment Towns, and Prince George made the cut in last year's edition (our lastest version of the report). You can purchase the report here.

Thanks Taylor. I have some well connected friends up there as well as family. It sounds like it might be worth a trip up there to try to put a team together.

Hello, I own a number of properties, and infact will be closing on another in PG on the 28th of this month. I have put together a great team, and would be happy to help you out. 11 doors, 5 years, and I'm yet to have a month of vacancy. Mike

Hello

I am just getting in to property investment here in Prince George. I have lived here for over 20 years. There is great potential here with the University and the talk of pipelines coming through.

If you are interested in properties let me know I have a team set up with a realtor, contractors and property managers as well.

Look forward to talking to you

Angela
