Just wanted to say that PLP Contracting just completed some major renovations for one of my investment properties.
I connected with PLP Contracting through REIN - as PLP Contracting is a REIN member... The work that they did was absolutely fantastic. Very professional, extremely reliable, and very efficient. The major renovations and all the work done actually was completed well before the deadline that PLP Contracing said it would be done by. Best of all, PLP Contracting came completely in line with the original budget.
They are a pleasure to do business with. So if anyone is looking for someone to do renovations in and around the Toronto area, I would definately recommend them. Thier work is quality. Here is their website:

Here`s how it worked out on my end:
I had an apartment in the building that was run down, had disturbing green carpet and yellow walls but was an otherwise very large 1 bedroom. After contacting PLP Contracting we all decided that there was a major opportunity to create a 2nd bedroom and thus increase rent. We created a new 2nd bedroom, & also renovated the entire place by painting, adding new flooring, new kitchen etc..etc...
For this particular unit, I used to struggle finding a tenant for that old run down 1 bedroom apartment for $700 a month. Tons of effort, tons of showings but next to no rental applications came in. Basically I would go begging for tenants & had to make special offers and incentives and that sort of thing to try and overcompensate for its lack of appeal and livability. At least a month`s vacancy would pass everytime I experienced tenant turnover before I received the next tenant`s rent, which meant a month of expenses coming out of my own pocket.
Now, when I show the place I immediately get a positive response and an immediate rental application. In fact, I`ve received several applications so far & have just rented it for $900 a month to some really great quality long term tenants. I`m now proud to show the place and it was rented quickly and should continue to rent quickly going forward.
I truly believe that it was because of the quality work and attention to details that REIN member PLP Contracting did that made this happen.
So I just wanted to post this as a way to say thanks to REIN and this REIN forum for allowing me to connect with their REIN member PLP Contracting and thanks to PLP Contracting for doing such a great job.
