Question for a Mortgage Broker

Hey Everyone,

I just have a quick question for any mortgage broker or anyone else who might know the answer. I have recently accepted a new position out in Grande Prairie and I was just wondering if any banks out there will let you qualify for a mortgage after accepting a new position with a new company??

Or do they want you to work there for a minimum of 3 months before they will allow you to use that income to qualify?

Thank you for any insight into this question.

Hello,

It will depend on your status as an employee there. If there is a 3 month probation period with your new company then yes you will not be able to fund a mortgage until the day your off probation.

However, if there is no probation and the new company put you on salary, the salaried income is what we'll go by.

There are some companies that only have a 1 month probation as well. So long as your off probation your application will be considered.

Being a mortgage broker I can place you with the most appropriate lender/bank for your current situation.

Would love to help,

Curtis Arnold
