In Alberta the `manager` (broker or lead agent) and associate (regular agent) would have to be licensed with the same brokerage and agree to be bound by whatever agency representation the client and original agent agreed to. So an assistant (unlicensed) can`t deal with offers and neither can office admin staff. They can call to notify of showings but that`s it.
Also, simply from a service standpoint, I think it is prudent for the agent to introduce the client to the person that will have the ball passed to them during their absence.
QUOTE (Dan_Eisenhauer @ Dec 4 2008, 06:12 PM) Brett, even if it is a two man operation... the Manager and the Sales Rep... he will be fine. The Manager will ensure that showings, offers, etc. will be taken care of.
Agreed??
